SAIL WITH US

JUMP ABOARD MARLIN WITH NOA & JOSEPH!

We’re inviting YOU, together with the non-profit organisation NATURAL EQUILIBRIUM, to experience unforgettable days of sailing through the crystal-clear waters of the CARIBBEAN. It’s more than a trip. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature, reset your mind, and rediscover balance.

Life on board is simple and grounding, even though we are always floating. With nothing but the wind to guide us, you’ll feel the power of slowing down and being fully present in a wild, untouched environment. Just a few hours at sea can feel like days of deep disconnection. The perfect way to recharge and return to your daily life with fresh energy.

We, Joseph & Noa from SAILING MARLIN, will be your skipper and co-skipper.

I, Joseph, began my sailing career as a racer and was member of the Sailing Team Germany. Over the years, I’ve been coach and team manager for competitive sailing teams. Thanks to my experience, I’m able to detect and fix potential issues before they become real problems aboard MARLIN.

I, Noa, started sailing just a few years ago, but I’ve learned everything since the beginning of this adventure! These days, I handle all the docking manoeuvres with confidence and take care of all the organizational tasks aboard.

Together we´ve sailed over 8.000 nautical miles on MARLIN in the past year. With our experience and joy for life at sea, we’ll take you on a fun, safe and inspiring journey across Caribbean waters.

We’ve designed two sample itineraries, which you can check in detail below. Both routes are adaptable based on your interests, although some adjustments may be necessary depending on weather conditions.

Route A – ALL AROUND MARTINIQUE offers a more sailing intensiv experience, with longer sailing days and stunning anchorages. It includes plenty of opportunities for snorkeling, cultural experiences, hiking trails and exploration along the costline.

Route B – BEACH & SNORKEL TOUR is for those who want to focus on exploring the most beautiful beaches, vibrant Caribbean vibes, and rich underwater life that Martinique has to offer. It includes shorter sailing trips and is all about balance between land & sea, adventure and relaxation.

YOU HAVE MORE QUESTIONS? CHECK OUR FAQ

DO I NEED SAILING EXPERIENCE TO JOIN YOU?

No, not at all. We are happy to welcome everyone on board and are also willing to share with you our experience and learnings as liveaboards.

We’re not a sailing school, but you can benefit from Joseph’s racing background to learn anything from the basics to advanced sailing techniques. Noa started sailing at the beginning of our journey and knows exactly how to translate the nurdy sailing stuff into an understandable language for every sailor level.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR THE ADVENTURE?

We recommend bringing only the essentials in a soft bag or backpack, as there’s no space onboard for bulky luggage. Once you’ve confirmed your participation, we’ll send you a detailed packing list to help you prepare.

HOW WILL BE LIFE ON BOARD?

Most of all, we’re here to have fun and enjoy a great time together. Our sailing trips are all about good vibes, exploring beautiful places, and sharing meaningful moments. We love a relaxed, nature-filled atmosphere and connecting with others in an easygoing way. If you’re looking for a party boat or a loud, high-energy scene, this might not be the right fit. We value tranquility, respect, and appreciation for the natural beauty around us.

Living on a boat also means to be together on a small space with limited privacy. But at MARLIN there’s always room to enjoy some personal time whenever you need it.

WHERE DO I SLEEP?

MARLIN has two separate cabins, each equipped with a double bed, private sink, and storage lockers. You’ll be staying in the cozy aft cabin, either sharing it with a partner or friend, or enjoying the entire space to yourself if you’re joining solo. To ensure everyone sleeps well, we don’t pair solo travelers with others unless specifically requested.

WHAT WILL WE EAT ON BOARD?

At the start of the week, we’ll stock up on groceries for the entire trip. We’ll cook together on the boat, but in some locations, we can also bring you ashore to enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

We both enjoy a wide variety of foods, so there are no dietary restrictions on our end. Still water, coffee, and tea are always available. We usually don´t drink alcohol ourselves, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like to enjoy a drink during the trip.

The estimated cost for groceries is approximately 200 € per person for a 10-day trip, based on mostly cooking on board. These costs will be shared among everyone on board. Please note that this does not include meals at restaurants or special beverages.

If you prefer, we can arrange groceries in advance for a fixed cost of 250 € per person for the entire trip.

CAN I HAVE A SHOWER ABOARD?

We have two showers on board. One outside at the stern and one inside in the head (bathroom). Typically, we shower using seawater and then rinse off with fresh water. This helps conserve our fresh water supply, so we don’t need to find a refill point during the trip.

DO YOU HAVE WIFI ABOARD?

Yes, we have a SIM card on board with unlimited data that you’re welcome to use. It usually works well as long as we stay close to the coastline, just like a regular phone.

WHICH LANGUAGE WILL WE SPEAK ON BOARD?

We both speak English, German, and Spanish fluently. Noa also speaks Portuguese, and Joseph understands Portuñol. We’re happy to communicate in the language you prefer. However, to ensure everyone feels comfortable and respected on board, we always choose a language that everyone can understand and speak.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Due to our short sailing season and limited spots, cancellations made within 60 days of the start date are usually non-refundable. However, we’ll do our best to fill your spot. If we’re able to find someone to take your place, you’ll receive a full refund.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

To make international contributions easier, we’ve partnered with Wise, a trusted global banking platform. This allows NATURAL EQUILIBRIUM to receive payments from many countries with minimal fees.

You can contribute either by making a standard bank transfer using the bank details provided in the agreement, or by using the Wise payment link we’ll share with you.

Through the link, you’ll see the amount requested in our currency (EUR), and you’ll be able to pay in your local currency. Wise will automatically convert your contribution at a competitive exchange rate and with low fees.

WHAT DO WE DO IF BAD WEATHER HITS US?

Weather systems in the Caribbean are quite stable and predictable. However, we’re constantly monitoring the weather to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone on board. Safety is always our top priority, so plans may be adjusted if needed.

If a storm is on the way, we’ll head to a sheltered spot and stay there until it passes. If it rains, there are still plenty of great ways to enjoy the day, whether it’s playing games, going for a refreshing swim, or simply relaxing on board or exploring ashore.

DO I REALLY HAVE TO DO MY BUSINESS INTO A BUCKET AS YOU SHOWED IN YOUR VIDEOS!?

Yes, but only if our toilet is not working, which thankfully happens very rarely. You can use the toilet just like you would at home. The only difference is that you must not throw paper or any non-organic materials into it, as everything goes directly into the sea.

CAN I CHARGE MY PHONE?

We have sufficient electrical power on board to charge electic devices like phones, camaras, drones, power banks. Charging is possible with USB-A and USB-C outlets up to 65 watts.
