THE SAILING MARLIN PROJECT
Nuestra curiosidad por una vida más tranquila, más conectada con la naturaleza, nos llevó a dejar atrás nuestras rutinas y trabajos diarios y a emprender un viaje sin fecha de regreso.
Tras una larga búsqueda, a principios de 2022 encontramos a Marlin, un velero de 11 metros, que tiene todo lo que necesitamos para para realizar una travesía en alta mar.
Antes de nuestra partida en abril de 2024, tuvimos que completar varios proyectos de reforma en el barco. Nuevo aparejo, tratamiento antiosmosis, electricidad y más.
PROPÓSITO
The SAILING MARLIN project was born with the purpose to experience life on the water and to discover different countries and cultures. It was the freedom of sailing and the deep connection with nature that inspired us to embark on this adventure.
At the same time, it means stepping out of our comfort zone and facing challenges like storms or boat breakdowns. Moments like these remind us how important it is to work together as a team and to trust both our own abilities and those of our boat.
INVESTIGACIÓN
What started as a private project has grown into a collaboration between Natural Equilibrium and the Marlin crew, documenting this journey and investigating the profound effects of nature on the human mind and body.
ESTILO DE VIDA
Our goal is to understand how life can change when you experience two completely different ways of living. One is the familiar rhythm of everyday Western life, full of comfort and convenience. The other is life at sea fully exposed to the adventures and challenges that nature brings.
